Keeneland Experience Tour

Tour:  Keeneland was founded in 1935 "to create a model race track to perpetuate and improve the sport and provide a course that is intended to serve as a symbol of the fine traditions or Thoroughbred racing."  Today, Keeneland is the world's largest Thoroughbred auction house.  Graduates of Keeneland sales include a Triple Crown winner, along with 129 horses that have won 141 Breeders' Cup World Championship races.  Each April and October, the sport's leading owners, trainers and jockeys are at Keeneland to compete for some of North America's richest purses in professional horse racing.

A National Historic Landmark, Keeneland features beautifully landscaped grounds that are open to the public.  Visitor tours for morning workouts, the Keeneland Library, Paddock and more are available for a small fee.
