Crooked Cat offers a strong compliment to its sister course, Panther Lake. Recently awarded 4 1/2 Stars by Golf Digest's "PLACES TO PLAY" for 2000, this 7,277-yard course has a distinct "links" flavor in its open, flowing design. This course features few trees, wide terraced fairways and native redtop heather grass in the rough giving it a Scottish feel. Although a slightly different breed than Panther Lake, this course is just as dangerous and beautiful. With large sloping greens, steep grass and sand bunkers and 50-foot elevation changes, Crooked Cat offers a true test to golfers of all skill levels. In the Golf Digest rankings, Panther Lake was listed in the Top 50 courses in North America for Conditioning, Value and Pace of Play. It ranked in the Top 200 for Service.
