The Palm Beach Zoo is a non profit biological institution located at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach. The 23-acre tropical environment is home to over 1,500 animals. The zoo offers special children's programs, guided tours and fascinating animal shows. The zoo also features a dynamic Summer Zoo Camp Program, a "Night Owls" Overnight Program, and uniquely-designed Field Trips, Outreach Programs, and a variety of special events such as "Winter in July", "Boo at the Zoo" and "Festival por los Animales." All of these programs have been planned with the aim of giving each participant a one-in-a-lifetime experience that will be hard to duplicate in any other zoo.

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is named for John D. MacArthur who donated the land for its construction in the 1970s. The park is located in northern Palm Beach County at the North end of Singer Island. A biological treasure, the outdoor park is home to rare sea turtles that use the park's shore as nesting grounds. A guest will be sure to enjoy any of their numerous outdoor activities like sunbathing, fishing, kayaking, bird watching and snorkeling in the 225 acres of land, and an additional 535 acres of submerged lands within its boundaries.

This outdoor park, open till late in the afternoons, has attempted to keep the area secluded and private in order for guests to continue to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of nature and the undisturbed activities of flora and fauna in their habitats. The care and attention of each of the dedicated staff make one want to go back for more, at the end of the trip.

They have activities lined up for every guest from 1 to 91, and they have exerted special efforts to keep the areas safe. The visiting families are thus assured of a care-free experience as the kids are allowed to romp and the more elderly allowed to move around at their own pace.
