If you are looking for a place for continental and American dishes, this is good to recommend. A strikingly beautiful restaurant with exquisite food and a wine list to match. I was surprised by the depth of their Bordeaux offering they provide impeccable service. It is suggested, this is a “must dine" restaurant. Its 4 Diamond rating is well deserved. The live jazz band on the patio was perfect.

They accept payments options from Visa, Amex and Mastercard.

Cafe A LA Carte
With a café-type cuisine, this place supplies terrific sets of food in their menu. It is a very suitable place for any party for your convenience. They really went all out to make it a memorable occasion. The cakes were gorgeous and delicious, and the ambiance for this sized crowd is just perfect. The wait staff was very attentive and everything was presented beautifully at the buffet tables. Afterwards the fabulous wait staff helped us to pack up leftovers, flowers, etc. so that even our departure went off without a hitch. Do not hesitate to hold an event here-you will be so delighted.

El Sur Restaurant
This is some of the most authentic Mexican food in town and the best prices that you can really afford. The ambiance is not very nice but the food more than makes up for it. Everything is great and cheap, especially the chili rellenos. It is highly recommend. All of the combinations range from $4.99 - $6.99 and they even have good soups and seafood.

Hi Falutin
The food is fabulous. They have had great sandwiches and "to-die-for" pasta. Everything I have ordered has been mouth-watering. Do you usually stick to the same thing in restaurants? In Hi Falutin, you want to try everything! You will surely return in many, many times. Dining at Hi Falutin is wonderful.

Jerry Bob's Restaurant
This place is busy (for obvious reasons), but the service was fast, and courteous. Although a bit noisy but on the low end of the decibel scale, the food was just simply perfect. Coupled with the prices, average breakfast w/o coffee, but with the usual eggs/meat/potatoes/toast, and/or an egg with sausage and biscuits, etc. makes this a must. It could be the only one of three you tried in Tucson but with the confidence of MacArthur, "we shall return." They also serve lunch and I believe dinner. If you like this, try Primo's for a similar experience but not as busy, since it is located in...Mohave, CA! They have a special of eggs/sausage and biscuits/hash browns (three of each) for...$3.50!

Kappy's Bar & Sandwich Place
This place is a mixture of a bar and a sandwich. Kappy's can become one of favorite places to eat in Tucson. With the atmosphere so friendly, you always feel at home. Their All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry on Friday nights is just the best!
What make it more exciting to visit are their specials every night of the week, and now that there is no smoking at the bar, even families can enjoy it without the annoying smoky smell that was always just there before. Every chance you get, you will always introducing it to friends who had never been there before. Excellent food and service, friendly people, homey environment, and you’ll love the all you can eat fish fry on Friday nights. The bathrooms are on interior updates. They were much needed. Prices are very reasonable.

Leo's Mexican Restaurant
If you don't go into paying for some excellent Mexican food, but when you can get this cheap and this good, you simply can't go wrong. Their lunch specials are all excellent. They also know how to make good kid choices as well! It's a hole in the wall type place. The food is amazing! Great food and #1 service, I would recommend Leo's to everyone!

Lerua's Fine Mexican Food

This is another restaurant for Mexicans. The homemade chips and salsa fresca are absolutely to die for! But no heat in the salsa, just lots of wonderful flavor! The flat enchiladas are so perfectly crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside, and the enchilada sauce is, well, perfect! Not too spicy and quite flavorful without any one flavor being too strong. The rice was fluffy and moist, not at all dry. The chicken tostadas are tasty. You’ll love it. On the #14, green corn tamale and cheese enchilada is absolutely satisfying. To add on their menu are the beans to be "The best she's ever tasted." You will surely clean your plates and can't wait for the opportunity to go back for more!

The Kon Tiki is one of my favorite spots to go for a quiet dinner. It is truly a departure from the abundance of Mexican and Continental American restaurants around Tucson. It's is considered as the only major restaurant in Tucson featuring Hawaiian cuisine. The atmosphere is a little dark and unless it is happy hour, some what hush. Traditional Hawaiian cuisine is served including plentiful teriyaki chicken dishes, with vegetable medleys and pineapple garnishes. And yes, the restaurant serves a variety of fruity alcoholic beverages with paper umbrellas. It is a very nice place to relax and unwind.

If you are looking for an absolutely the best in an exemplary service, fantastic menu, fresh regional seafood, tequila galore, wine list that’s phenomenal; try Kingfisher Bar & Grill. It is absolutely fabulous and fun! It may look like a sappy brick building, but walking inside with its gorgeous ambiance lighting and specialty sculptures hanging about, you will be in awe. The server was right with you, making you feel like you are family; and they are super prompt to bring out the best bread in the world; and never ending water glasses.

They have the BEST burger in town. If you think you've had the best burger ever, you need to have the Kingfisher burger and pronto. It is astounding!!!! Try the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi which was superb and Jair had the beef medallions. Yummy!!

They also serve up some of the best seafood you'll find in the city. The main dining room is delicate and stylish with a large vase as its focal point. To one side, its sea-blue walls define the oyster bar. The fireplace-lounge is a cozy spot to settle in with a glass from the award-winning wine list. A late night menu features soups, salads, sandwiches and many of their popular seafood items.

The place serves some of the strongest coffee in town, which is why night owls love to hang out there until long after midnight. This is where the smokers of Tucson take their last stand. The Wooden chairs and tables matching the clothing of the clientele, which is overwhelmingly young, hip and into art. The drinks are very good and very strong. According to Safehouse aficionados, Starbucks coffee is for wimps.

Looking for a manly place? Vaudeville Cabaret, located in downtown Tucson, is a great place to have a drink and enjoy live music performed in an intimate atmosphere. From the street, the club looks like just another downtown dive, but looks can be deceiving. Vaudeville is very clean and the atmosphere is relatively upscale and modern with hardwood floors and an attractive color scheme. The crowd, and it can get crowded, is there to have a good time and share the music as well as a few drinks. A visit to Vaudeville is sure to please those looking for good company, pleasant atmosphere and great live music.

Buffet
Since 1934, more redneck than red wine, this working-class watering hole has been here. You won’t believe it but it's the only bar in Tucson that opens at 6am. Home of the "Happy Minute," at precisely 6pm, everybody in the bar gets another of whatever they're drinking, on the house. Hot dogs are about as haute cuisine as it gets here.

Hours of Operation

Happy hour from 5:00pm - 6:00pm

This place rocks each night of the week to the sound of local blues and rock acts. It does get loud and you won't get the bartender's attention unless you holler, but it's usually a friendly crowd just wanting to have a good time. This is a music club, so don't expect a large selection of food items. You will find a variety of snacks and appetizers on the menu, as well as burgers for around USD5. There is also your standard choice of U.S. and Mexican beers. It is an old bar with no fancy decor (i.e. dive), but the clientele knows how to let the good times roll.
