Alligator Grille Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar has an excellent reputation for fresh, excellently prepared seafood. Chef Christopher Spina kitchen staffs exercises its culinary expertise to prepare seafood in many tempting, delicious ways. They also have freshly baked bread daily, and make in-house prepared “from scratch” desserts. The Big Bamboo Cafe, patterned after an imaginary bar on an Eastern Pacific island during World War II, step back into time. Entire menu designed around Island’s only (we believe) authentic wood-fired brick oven. Brick Oven Cafe offers an interesting appetizer-style menu with lots of great things to share. They are an unusually attractive pub-style restaurants featuring authentic English food, and lots of golf and British photos, art and memorabilia on the walls and elsewhere, including photos of British Open sites. They have the largest selection of fresh fish on the Island.” Captain’s Seafood cuts their own fish, which saves one step in bringing the freshest possible fish to their patrons. Casey’s boasts the extensive collection of sports memorabilia, including signed jerseys and helmets from numerous football greats, signed jerseys from big-league baseball players, photos of famous football and baseball players, and lots more. It’s worth a trip and the price of a beer just to take a look at the collection! Casey’s menu is appealing and the food excellent. “Buffalo Wings” and “Roast Beef on a Weck” (a genuinely huge, flavorful sandwich) are complemented by numerous new items, including attractive “healthy alternatives.” Ask about the live music Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and karaoke Tuesdays and Fridays.

Charley's Crab
It is unusually attractive, spacious waterfront restaurant. Charley’s Crab serves a dozen or more offerings of beautifully prepared fresh fish and other seafood, aged beef, rack of lamb, fresh poultry and rabbit dishes. Although Charley’s is upscale, “guests will feel comfortable in casual and golf attire.” Ask about their popular cooking classes on the third Tuesday of every month.

“Small Business of the Year” award winner Christine Bohn recently opened Christine’s Go Go Gourmet & Cafe at Coligny Plaza. Great food at reasonable prices; from a wide variety of sandwiches, including their specialty, a Philadelphia-style cheese-steak, “design your own” hoagies, pita-wraps, burgers, chicken breast and vegetarian selections. The Frankie Bones concept is big city dining, big booths, soft lighting, crisp snappy service with Sinatra playing in the background, reminiscent of the enduring restaurants in Chicago and New York of the 50’s and 60’s. The kitchen boasts a combination wood fired and charcoal grill used for preparing dishes such as marinated rib eye and NY strip modiga.
