The Pinehurst Harness Track is a 111-acre racing venue that has been a winter training center for thoroughbred racehorses since 1915. The equestrian facility features three training tracks and several center aisle barns with approximately 300 stalls, as well as several paddocks. The also includes a polo field and 35 golf courses providing for alternative forms of entertainment. The tracks are sometimes rented when training is not taking place. Alternative events include horse shows, car shows, dog shows, and rugby matches.
