Food...really good food...has always been our passion. From finding flawless produce in an open air market, to discovering a "great little restaurant," to grand culinary experiments in our own kitchen...we love it all! As residents of a small Southern town, we especially enjoy traveling to places like Manhattan and San Francisco to experience the best of big city cuisine. After operating a successful natural foods store for several years, we felt pulled by our passion to open a restaurant of our own. A place that reflected everything we were about: impeccably fresh ingredients, casual contemporary style and, above all, GREAT flavors!

There’s no better time than the start of a new year, to make some major changes.  That’s exactly what’s happening at The Thagard Lake Grill.  This past fall, we asked for your comments and opinions about the CCWP food service operation.  Many of you responded, providing us with valuable feedback.  We sincerely thank you for caring so much about your club restaurant!  The improvements detailed below take effect on Saturday, January 5, 2008 and are a direct result of your comments and suggestions.  Come check us out!  We look forward to welcoming you to our table…soon and often.

Dugan's Pub is an Irish Pub located in the "Village Shops" area of Pinehurst.  It was restored by the current proprietors with a "Traditional" Irish Pub upstairs, and a second Pub located downstairs.  Dugan's Pub is within walking distance of all the Village Shops of Pinehurst, as well as all major Hotels & Inns located in Pinehurst. At Dugan's Pub you'll find a full service restaurant & pub.  We offer smoking & non-smoking facilities.  You will be pleased to find Dugan's as a friendly, service oriented place to be offering an excellent menu with the largest selection of Import drafts & single malt scotch's in Pinehurst, and a complete wine list. Entertainment starts at 9:30 PM.

Grounds-&-Pounds is Pinehurst's original coffee house.  Not satisfied with just serving the best coffee in the Village, the shop has expanded and now serves a light country breakfast, lunch starting at 11:30 to 2:30, features a large selection of imported and domestic fine wines and cigars, plus coffee and tea accessories, gift baskets and a large collection of mugs and gourmet foods.  Locals and tourists are attracted to the quaint atmosphere, friendly service and delicious lunches which specialize in homemade bread and desserts, down-home iced tea and fresh brewed gourmet coffees and espresso drinks.  If you are looking for a unique place for breakfast or lunch or a gift, visit Grounds-&-Pounds on Market Square.

It was in 1895 that James Tufts purchased the land on which the Village of Pinehurst and the Magnolia Inn sit today.  In 1991, the Inn was purchased by Ned and Jan Darby and has been completely renovated and carefully restored to reflect the elegance of the Victorian era and the cozy atmosphere of the Old South.  All 11 guest rooms have private baths, cable TV and central air.  Polished brass, white wicker, and the abundance of period antiques reflecting the charm of this bygone era make staying at the Magnolia Inn a memorable experience.  You can step in to the cozy hardwood halls of the Magnolia's own English pub for an evening of ales and a casual dinner.  Or you can enjoy a more elegant gourmet meal, prepared by our talented "Cheffy" in the intimate atmosphere of the Inn's restaurant.

Enjoy great slices of NYC style pizza; affordable and perfect slices. Though it is rate highly for lunch or dinner, you will enjoy the elite services from waitstaffs and mouthwatering taste of pizza. 

Ten-Ya is the place to go for the freshest, absolute best fish available. I have been going for over two years, and have never been disappointed. Great staff, trendy atmosphere, and unique rolls if you are a sushi fan.
Excellent sushi and fairly comprehensive menu of traditional Japanese cuisine awaits you in a very nice dining experience and it is enhance by the greeting as you enter by the owners who are generally on hand most nights.

This is a great place for Thai food. You’ll love it. It is not too expensive and you can dine in or carry-out. They also have a nice wine list to accompany your dinner.

This was the best dinner that I ever had, the food was top of the line and the service was exceptional. The staff all works together, right down to the chef serving some of the food. You can't find a better food and a more comfortable setting, I guarantee it!!
