The Bandit Golf Club was something special from the very beginning. The course winds in and around Long Creek and Lake McQueeney and plays lovingly with the natural hazards these two bodies of water create. Significant elevation changes that lead to the sculpted fairways and perfect greens draw the golfer deeper and deeper into The Bandit's embrace. Tee boxes elevated like hawks' nests give the golfer a sense of power. It is these characteristics that likely contributed greatly to The Bandit being named the 8th Best Public Course in Texas by Golfweek magazine in 2006.
