The David Harman designed, 18-hole, 7,228 yard championship golf course features undulating fairways and interconnecting waterways bordered by the natural backdrop of dense oaks and pines along historic Shingle Creek. The design objective is to make the course play "fair" while keeping it an exceptional "test" of golf. There are five sets of tees, enabling players to choose their own degree of difficulty. Located just east of the Orange County Convention Center expansion, the challenging, yet playable, Shingle Creek Golf Club opened for play in December 2003.
Dave Scott, Director of Golf and PGA Professional, and his team of professionals provide tee times, compatible pairings and merchandise ranging from golf balls to stylish sportswear.
Golf carts feature GPS yardage system, large pro shop - golf equipment, clubs and shoe rental, state-of-the-art practice facility, daily on course food & beverage delivery service, full service 1,600 sq.ft. golf shop and Brad Brewer Golf School with PGA teaching professionals.

Shingle Creek Golf Club, a remarkable new Orlando golf course, takes its name from the creek, which traverses the property. Early pioneers who first settled Central Florida in the 1800s were drawn by the splendor of this pristine creek. They used the creek for fishing, trapping and logging cypress trees, which were floated to a nearby mill then eventually made into shingles for their homes, thus the name Shingle Creek. Today we have discovered that Shingle Creek is indeed, the natural headwaters of the Florida Everglades, which is located approximately 140 miles south of our property. |
