Punta Espada was designated to incorporate the natural features of the landscape into its topography; the bluffs, the beach, the waterways and the foliage. The design also guarantees that golfers of all levels are accommodated, including those playing at world championship level. In early 2001, after creating courses around the world, P.B. Dye returned tothe Dominican Republic invited by Frank Rainieri, owner of the PuntaCana Resort & Club. Rainieri and partners, labor mediator Ted Kheel, famed couturier Oscar de la Renta and singer Julio Iglesias wanted Mr. Dye to design a world-class beachfront golf course.

The result of P. B. Dye's first solo effort in the Dominican Republic La Cana Golf Course at PuntaCana Resort & Club definitely belongs on your "must play " list. PuntaCana Golf Club course is innovative, challenging, beautiful and fun. It's long playing to 7,152 yards from the tournament tees but the rewards include four superb holes playing directly along the Caribbean Sea and 12 holes with magnificent sea views.

The Dye pot bunker is ever present. As noted earlier, hole seven boasts a cluster of 21. P.B. jokingly refers to this area as "Hecklebirnie" a type of golfer's purgatory according to Scottish lore. To help you master this course and put all the odds on your side, it might be wise to take a lesson with Kim Jensen, the golf pro of the "PuntaCana Golf Academy. Renowned architect, Jose "Pepe" Gancedo, six-time Spanish Champion, designedthe course by following the lay of the land, using the natural terrain to provide a route easily remembered long after the player finishes.

Our trademark features are strategically-placed trees, bunkers, mounds and gently rolling terrain with well-defined and generous fairways without forgetting an unrelenting wind. The utilization of four sets of tees provides low-handicapped golfers with a course of great challenge, while beginners and intermediate players can continually improve their game in a player-friendly environment. Transportation to and from the course is included in the rate.

The architect and famous champion Nick Price has designed this challengingcourse. The course offers various playing options and plays throughnatural wetland areas with large waste bunkers and big lakes naturallybuilt into the tropical vegetation. This par 72 offers the player achallenge on each hole and at the same time is fun for their ample andmoved fairways, with its bunkers, the lakes and the risky holes 13 and 15both par 3.

Situated on a pristine stretch of land composed of several rocky cliffs, the 7,555 yard Corales Golf Course designed by Tom Fazio features six ocean front holes providing a dramatic backdrop for Fazio's world class design. The course's 18th hole has a unique 'double-shot' -- planned to challenge even the most avid golfers, daring players to try to drive over the ocean and rock-lined cliffs of the Bay of Corales to the fairway on the other side. This hole will position Corales as one of the most challenging and talked about ocean-front courses in the world. Named the number six course for the Caribbean and Mexico for 2011 by Golfweek.

The Barcel¢ Golf de B varo was re designed and remodel by the renownedarchitect PB Dye, overlooking and supervising the whole process himself.December 2010 the golf course opened it's doors to the Barcel¢ guests as wellto the public. The championship golf course traverses a lush mangrove forest,25 inland lakes and 122 bunkers. The course capitalizes on the natural beautyof the B varo area, incorporating native plant species around its meticulouslymanicured greens. At 6,655 yards from the professional tees, the 18-hole,par-72 championship course is the newest and most visited courses on theB varo / Punta Cana Area.

This 18 hole Par 72 course is the design of Single Alberto, with thecooperation of Corrie Jack; the basic characteristic of this course, which counts on one of its greens within an artificial lake, is its horizontal amplitude. Five lagoons and trees define this small but challenging course. Designed as much for the experienced golfer as the beginner. It has ample fairways and keeps with the natural landscape. Nine of the holes border the coast of the Caribbean Sea. The golf course is part of Bavarian the Catalonia Hotel in White End. The deceptive holes of the golf course of Head of Toro are designed to amuse whereas lagoon and Caribbean views are fantastic. You face technical shots from the Tees and hidden Greens and other surprises. Each shot is a new challenge. This course shows you if really you are as good as you think and if you are ready for more.
