Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1959, the Palms stays true to its origins, but with all the amenities of today's modern courses. As such, the Palms has hosted such outstanding tournaments as the Nike South Florida Classic and the Florida Open and is an excellent venue for both higher and lower handicap golfers. There are 5 sets of tees, which allow every player to select the length of the course that is most appropriate for his or her round. If you want the greatest challenge, then select the Tournament Tees, which measure 6,931 yards, with a rating of 73.3 and Slope of 128. Those desiring a more friendly length can choose one of the other sets of tees, which range from 5,431 to 6,586 yards. |

While maintaining many of the classic features of the course, Joe Lee added mounding, new sand traps, improved tee boxes, new lakes and gave the green complexes a whole new look. Another distinguishing feature of Hillcrest Golf and Country Club is the superb drainage, while other courses in South Florida close due to heavy summer rains, you can always get a tee time at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club.
Hillcrest's championship course reopened in May of 2001 to rave reviews. The beautifully maintained Tif-Eagle greens, lush landscaping and pristine lakes will appeal to all discerning golfers. The par 72 layout measures 7076 from the Championship tees, 6677 from the blue tees , 6270 from the white tees and 5207 from the ladies tees.
