A design masterpiece of Bob Cupp, the 7,051-yard Reynolds Landing course was the first golf course built on Lake Oconee. This Scottish-style championship course was built on hilly terrain with water features coming into play on three holes. Tom Fazio's masterpiece, the 27-hole Reynolds National Course, plays long and narrow through the towering pines and flowering dogwoods that are native to middle Georgia. With more than 100 bunkers, several holes tucked along the shores of Lake Oconee and large undulating greens, the National Course gives players little room for error. Using only the rolling Appalachian Mountain foothills as a canvas, Bob Cupp, along with Hubert Green and Fuzzy Zoeller, designed the Plantation Course. Great Waters, the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-signature design, winds through densely wooded evergreen corridors only to open up to nine holes featuring the blue waters of Lake Oconee as the rough.
