Carolina Lakes places a great amount of emphasis on shot placement and the approach shot to the usually fast and undulating greens. Placing your approach shot above the hole or on the wrong side of the green makes for some interesting up and down shots.

Davis Love III, 1997 PGA Championship winner, designed Anderson Creek Golf Club, his first signature course in North Carolina.
