Presidential Country Club ($$$)
_

 Select

This course has been redesigned by Tommy Fazio, there is only one tee that even remotely resembles the old course. The old beginning hole is now #15. Fazio kept the best of what the old Presidential was known for, mainly one of the last places in Miami Beach to be able to boast about having massive Florida Oak trees and hard, fast greens. The layout of the course has well-bunkered holes and quite a few carries or sharp doglegs around water. On one dogleg left, you cannot see the green from the tee box because the angle is almost ninety degrees. In April of 1999, a new clubhouse opened. This is a very challenging course with a number of memorable holes.

A Greg Norman Signature Course, the 7,171-yard, par-72 Great White Course is the only golf course of its kind in the Southeastern United States that utilizes coquina -- crushed shells -- as the primary design element on every hole. In designing the Great White, Norman blended strategically demanding fairways with hundreds of palm trees and sporadic Scottish-style bunkers. He then laid out the course in a manner where water comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes, which makes for a challenging, but picturesque Great White Golf Course. Host to the PGA TOUR Franklin Templeton Shark Shootout in 2000, the Great White was rated as the best new golf course of 2000 by the National Golf Foundation.

The Red Course forces golfers to use strategy and shot placement, rather than driving for show. Featuring 14 water holes with fairways winding around several lakes, the course provides breath-taking beauty and exhilarating challenges, without intimidating length. This course hosted the LPGA in 2001 for the Office Depot Championship.

Designed in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, and redesigned by von Hagge in 1993, the course features the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.

Some bunkers were expanded and some greens were made smaller, and mounds were added around many of them.
