Desert Canyon, formerly known as Fountain Hills Golf Club, opened in 1970 and remains a hidden treasure. The Acacia Course features hilly fairways and undulated greens. This course features beautiful views of the McDowell Mountains. The Mesquite Course features open fairways, many bunkers that line the fairways and protect the greens. Mountain views can be seen of Camelback Mountain, Pinnacle Peak and the McDowell Mountains. The Ironwood Course features open fairways, desert washes, contrasting native grass and water on one hole.

With the "Long Trail" playing at a distance of 6,845 yards, you'll have to bring your "A" game to score well from these tees. Legend Trail offers four sets of tees to accommodate a variety of skill levels. The course features wide fairways, bent grass greens, small bunkering, and island tees. Each hole adheres to the natural lay of the land, winding through washes and ravines, and playing along stands of indigenous saguaro cacti and Palo Verde.

With holes named "Painted Desert", "Water Change", and "Good Medicine", Legend Trail Golf Club provides an amiable challenge that seems to capture a bit of the Old West spirit and certainly the special essence of the Southwest Sonoran style of golf.

Nick Faldo, winner of three Masters and three British opens, says that this course is not reminiscent of other Arizona layouts, saying that he wants his courses to have rhythm and flow, with more bark than bite. The par 71 layout sits on a 174-acre site, and offers a slight variation from typical Sonoran Desert-theme courses. It features generous fairways, large bent grass greens and tee boxes. The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro cacti as well as 106 sand bunkers, reminiscent of the Australian sand belt courses, provide a spectacular setting for the golf course and golfing guests.

Oakcreek Country Club was designed the infamous father-son duo of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., as Sedona's first golf course. This Sedona, Arizona golf course has a traditional layout similar to those that you may find in the midwestern US.
